In Slack we should use emojis to signify our current availability and working status.

When a team member sets their Slack status to the headphones emoji 🎧, this signifies that they are in a deep focus mode, possibly working on a task that requires significant concentration and uninterrupted time.

Please respect the following guidelines when interacting with team members who have set their status to the headphones emoji 🎧:

• Non-Emergency Communication: Refrain from sending them direct messages or mentioning them in group channels. Also, avoid initiating any calls with them. This will help them maintain their focus and complete their work effectively.
• Emergency Communication: If there is an urgent matter or emergency that requires their immediate attention, then you may contact them. However, be sure to explicitly mention in your message that the issue is urgent or an emergency, so they understand the need to break from their deep work.

By respecting these status indications, we can foster a more productive and respectful work environment 🙏

Make sure to add a finish time to your statuses so your team mates know roughly when they'll be able to contact you next.
